Gold Leaf Pasting Experience Why not casually get exposed to traditional crafts of the ancient capital of Kanazawa? We will use "Entsuke Gold Leaf (traditional gold leaf)," which manufacturing technique is listed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. You can paste gold leaf in your favorite design on a badge or a postcard and take it home when completed. Under the instruction of Imai Kinpaku, even small children can experience the workshop. (Required time: around 15 minutes) Gold leaf is about 1/10,000 mm thin, beaten out by skilled craftsmen. Enjoy its airy softness. |
