WAJIMA-NURI by Ichimatsu: All the lacquering processes done by a single craftsman

WAJIMA Nuri is hand-crafted by designated craftsmen assigned to each process, and its prime feature is its robustness, achieved by three layers of lacquer coating—shitaji-nuri (base coat), naka-nuri (intermediate coat), and uwa-nuri (final coat). At Nushiya Ichimatsu, a single craftsman is responsible for bringing these processes to completion.
