Expressing the techniques of HIGO Zogan through jewelry

HIGO Zogan is metalwork crafted in Kumamoto Prefecture. The inlay is made by adorning the deep black surface with gold and silver ornaments. Using such techniques, which can express dignity and sophisticated beauty, the designs for HIGO Zogan are applied onto jewelry and accessories. Suitable for everyday use, these items are offered at the event.

Detail	Demonstration of Nunome-Zogan Inlay (Higo Zogan) Thin plates of pure gold and silver are integrated on the surface of an iron plate using Nunome-Zogan technique. The iron plate is later cut out with a fretsaw and sold as an actual work. The process of cutting out pure gold and silver parts from a pure gold and silver plate using a self-made graver will also be demonstrated.
