Detail: We will host a panel session inviting Taiichi Kirimoto , the seventh-generation head of Wajima Kirimoto. Despite two major disasters, the Noto Peninsula earthquake on New Year's Day 2024 and the torrential rainfall in September the same year, Wajima Kirimoto continues to create lacquerware that fits into modern life while preserving traditional techniques. Mr. Kirimoto will discuss his efforts and thoughts to connect WAJIMA Nuri to the future as he revives lacquerware with an unyielding spirit.
