There are several places in the country where lacquerware is produced. JOBOJ-NURI is relatively conservative tableware; decorations such as carving and maki-e (gold lacquering) are eliminated as much as possible. It is lacquerware where people cherish the beauty of lacquer. Dishes are polished through regular use, "growing" lustrously in our life.
