HAKONE-YOSEGI-ZAIKU is a technique to create geometric patterns combining various types of wood. The delicate and beautiful patterns that take advantage of the natural colors of trees fascinate those who see it. We will mainly display practical and highly designed items such as wooden boxes and trays.

Detail: Glue together triangular and diamond-shaped pieces to create a hexagonal coaster with an original color combination.

Schedule: B) Let’s Make a Parquet Keychain!
Oct. 25 (Sat.) 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Detail: Various natural wood color materials for Hakone parquet crafts will be used. Cut these materials into diamond-shaped pieces and use them to create a pattern. Then glue them together with wood glue and make an original keychain!

Enjoy collecting and creating wooden artifacts

We handle wooden artifacts and sundries. In the first basement, we hold work exhibitions and wood burning classes where students draw pictures by burning wood. We don’t just collect products; we also propose the joy of making works on their own. Enjoy the warmth of wood as well as attraction of works, each made by hand.
